Sparks #2

I am fulfilled, animated by and even obsessed with the power of color. At the core of my work is the composition of colorful patches that are loud, rhythmic, powerful, but also idiosyncratic, harmonious and energetic. An ongoing and unwavering study of form and color. Every day, every encounter, every environment, every mood is inspiration. In short, the vibrant colorfulness of our world fascinates me and I want to reflect this in my work. What makes working with color so special to me is that all sighted beings have access to it. Color is a universal language that knows no age, gender or language boundaries. And yet everyone has their own perception of color. My compositions and color combinations are how I understand color and how I perceive the world.
